A tangy, spicy burger is a real crowd pleaser. You can omit the jalapeño peppers for a less fiery dining experience.

Ingredients

Southwestern Spicy Slaw

  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, toss together the cabbage, carrot, onion, red pepper, jalapeño and cilantro. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisky together the oil, vinegar, sugar, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Pour over vegetable mixture and toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  3. Add all chipotle ranch ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until completely smooth.
  4. Add more water if the dressing is too thick for liking.
  5. Cook the shrimp burgers according to package directions. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  6. Assemble the burgers with a spread of chipotle ranch on one or both sides of the bun, then add the shrimp burger patties and top with southwestern slaw. Serve immediately and enjoy!
